Editions are distinct calculation bases

A historical table describes that edition. A later reaffirmation, replacement or related standard does not update the old numbers automatically. The selector and results identify the source edition and the publication date of the actual copy used.

Product and gauge dimensions serve different purposes

A plug or ring gauge can use a different pitch diameter, step position, allowance or measurement plane from the product it inspects. The tables keep those dimensions in separate sections. A gauge diameter does not fill a missing product limit.

Source units and limits

Each dimension links to its table or figure and the physical PDF page. Independently printed metric and inch limits remain separate rows. Changing display units converts each row from its own printed unit. Minimum-only, maximum-only, basic and reference callouts retain their meaning; blank source data remain absent.

Diameter and profile scope

Datum views show only explicitly identified product diameters at a common source plane. Included-angle references do not define a worn-tool radius, complete rolled shell, tapered connection or unique finished thread. Source conditions and formula-derived limits remain attached to their dimensions.

Service-specific designations

The same nominal hose size can identify different service connections. A pipe nominal size is not its actual outside diameter. Select the complete published designation rather than matching a diameter alone.
