Calculations and saved work
ThreadCalc performs calculations in your browser. The main thread calculator uses WebAssembly in a background worker; calculation inputs do not need to be submitted to a calculation server.
Saved projects and their notes, theme preferences and session drafts use storage on your device. The offline feature also caches website files in your browser. You can delete projects in the application or clear this site's browser data. Download a project backup first if you want to keep a copy.
Shared links and exported files
A share link contains the calculation inputs needed to recreate a specification, excluding private project notes. Anyone with the link can read those inputs. Links can appear in browser history, and inputs in a URL's query string are included in page requests. Exported files contain the information included in that export; project backups include saved project notes.
Website delivery
ThreadCalc is delivered through Cloudflare Tunnel and a hosting server. Visiting the site creates network requests that can include your IP address, requested URL and browser information. These providers process technical request information to deliver and secure the website.
Google services and advertising
Google AdSense may be enabled on ThreadCalc. If Google's advertising services are loaded, Google and its partners may collect, use and share information such as the page URL, IP address, browser or device information and other identifiers. During ad serving, third parties may place or read cookies or use web beacons. Information can be used to deliver and measure advertising, prevent fraud and, depending on consent and settings, personalize ads.

Your choices
Your browser controls cookies and site storage. Clearing storage can remove saved projects and preferences. Google My Ad Center provides advertising controls; turning off ad personalization does not turn off every use of information for ad delivery, measurement or fraud prevention.
